Autotrail Delaware

We visited the motorhome show at Peterbourgh, we were not looking to change we were just looking and having looked at numerous second hand vans with varied layouts we stumbled accross an Autotrail Delaware that was pre-registered but on offer at quite a good price, well actually a very good price; guess what happens next?

So in July 2014, one year on from our first motorhome, we drove away from Simpsons in Great Yarmouth with our third, an Autotrail Delaware (Della). The trade-in deal we made was to see us retain all of the capital we had in the Savannah, not bad motoring for six months and 5000 miles.

The Delaware had the same lounge and kitchen as the Savannah but had a lovely island bed and the benefit of being 3 years younger with warranty to boot. The Delaware offered the more powerful 150bhp 2.3 litre diesel instead of the 130 bhp of the Savannah, it had a lower cab profile with the large panoramic roof skylight. We lost the all around cupboard space we had in the Savannah but retained storage in the form of a full width overhead locker, it was large enough to take rucksacks and other kit with easy access, over the two cab seats.
