The Norfolk Show

The Norfolk Show was a great weekend with quite a nice setup and for a change the sun was in full attendance, quite differant to Peterbourgh and the mud that I am still trying to eradicate from every nook and cranny!

Roast Pork and Potatoes on the Cobb

Roast Pork and Potatoes on the Cobb

The Cobb was the preferred outside cooking tool and the roast pork was divine, ok I used the cooker in the van to do the veg and the other roast dinner essentials! but the pork and roasties Mmmmmmm!

Quite a nice pitch

Quite a nice pitch

The pitches were the regulation size but there was plenty of room to put out the awning and the windbreak, I know I said the sun was out but so was Mr Breeze!

When we pulled up the marshal gave out a gasp and said “where are we going to put you” I said how about on the end, and there we are! The show was in it’s second year and was smaller than we expected but there was lots of trade stuff and other essential purchases and there were lots of vans new and second hand to be viewed. I know we are not in the market to buy another but we both liked a rather large three axle Hymer, but Jean-Luc is our preferred traveling companion.

We had booked tickets for the shuttle bus to Norwich, I have worked there before but Tracey has bever been so we were both looking forward to the trip, however after waiting 90 mins with no real idea as to when the next ” shuttle bus ” would arrive we opted for a refund and another look around the stalls and a rather large three axle Hymer! Mmmmm! Shows are dangerous places, we decided we were still smitten with Jean-Luc and the £125k price tag was not worth the extra sockets and full length mirror we would gain!

So off we are home, a couple of weekends away at Honeybridge and Graffham and then on to Germany and our first European trip in a motorhome!  August is busy!
